In the past two decades, many natural disasters had occurred around the world under the constant changes in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events. Hydrological disasters should be paid more attention in Taiwan due to the high sensitivity to climate change and the influence of extreme weather events in recent years. However, global warming and climate anomalies not only cause extreme weather events directly, but also affect the interactions among human, the nature and their dynamic feedback processes indirectly. Currently, only a few studies have emphasized on ecosystem services, lacking of a systematic approach to investigate changes of ecosystem services in a region, especially in an area that covers both man-made and natural resources. Therefore, the Taipei area the most densely populated area in Taiwan, is selected as the study area, comparing the difference of ecosystem services during 2015 and Typhoon Soudelor. From a systematic point of view, the emergy synthesis is used based on the concept of the eco-energy analysis. The relevant data are all converted into the same unit, Solar Emergy, to explore the impacts of the extreme precipitation event on the ecosystem services in the study area. The results show that the forest areas are the largest contribution of energy to ecosystem services in the Taipei area generally. Besides, different soil textures of different subsystems have various upper limits of water contents or substances. After examining the critical values of ecosystem services, the results show that the major contribution of ecosystem services of the study area is Natural hazard regulation provided by the surface water resource areas. During the period of Typhoon Soudelor, the Fresh water supply in the forest areas had become the main contribution. Erosion control services was the main service affected by Typhoon Soudelor. The second and third main services were Hydrological regulation and Food supply. Moreover, due to the interactions among ecosystem services, Fresh water supply, Water purification and Waste treatment had been affected severely. Wang, Szu-Hua 王思樺 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 130 zh-TW
