Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 統計學系 === 106 === Taiwan has been developing aquaculture long time ago. Due to the advantages of climate, geographical location and technology, Taiwan used to be named the kingdom of grass shrimp and eel, but now it is named the kingdom of grouper and ornamental, etc. — all these show the development and growth of Taiwan's aquaculture fishery. However, due to unfavorable factors such as epidemics, environmental pollution, industrial relocation and international low-cost competition, the sustainable development of aquaculture fishery in Taiwan is becoming more and more important. Therefore, through observing the static culture households, this study analysed the affecting factors of total fishery gross income and suggested specifically the ways to improve total fishery gross income, so as to provide counseling and policy making references for relevant agencies, and with the hope to improve the lives of fishermen and to meet challenges and create innovations.
In order to improve the accuracy of the prediction of the total fishery gross income of static culture households and to present their true situation, this study took the fishery population data of 2015 Census of Agriculture, Forestry, Fishery and Animal Husbandry, which was conducted by Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Executive Yuan, as the source; then based upon practical experience and literature references, select the explain variables such as breeding conditions, breeding equipment, general profiles, characteristics of business managers, input labor, etc.; and took yearly fishery gross income as dependent variable, finally constructed the total gross income predict model by multiple regression analysis. As static culture households could have more than one aquatic pond, and each one may with different purposes and fish species, therefore, in order to reduce the complexity of the problem, this study took those whose have merged and main aquatic pond cultivating milkfish, tilapia, whiteleg shrimp, sea perch and sea bream with salt water or fresh water as examples, conduct regressive empirical analysis, and then proposed development and suggestions.
This study got some important results: under the same level of aquaculture technology and fry cost, cultivating sea perch and whiteleg shrimp raised the fishery gross income more than cultivating tilapia; poly-culture more than mono-culture for milkfish; mono-culture more than poly-culture for whiteleg shrimp; cultivating with salt water more than fresh water for sea perch and sea bream, but not obvious for whiteleg shrimp. The above conclusion does show the situation of static culture households and could be the counsel for the fishery agencies or the guidance for fishermen.
