Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 金融與合作經營學系 === 106 === Financial ethics has received more and more attention recently. While pursuing economic profits, it also needs to concern human rights and friendly environment. Therefore, the so-called ethical bank has launched and attracted attention. One of the activities of the Ethical Bank is to enable depositors to choose the types of loan projects they want to support. This is called "ethical deposits." This study is to investigate the depositors’ adoption intention of ethical deposit provided by traditional banks. In addition, the study pays attention to the feasibility of implementing the ethical deposits with the nature of social corporate responsibility in Taiwan’s traditional banks. The study tries to find the important factors affecting the use of ethical deposit. This study conducted a questionnaire survey on individuals in Taiwan. A total of 999 valid questionnaires were retrieved and a binary Logistic regression analysis was employed using SPSS. The results are as follows: First, the factors affecting the adoption intention of ethical deposits are mainly based on the interest rates of ethical deposit. Second, the reasons why the participants willing to adopt ethical deposits is because they strongly agree with the concept of ethical deposits, not because they do not pay attention to the deposit interest rate brought by ordinary deposits. Finally, in the case of a ethical deposit rate of 0%, the factor of depositors choosing banks is good predictive of the adoption intention. When the ethical deposit interest rate is same as the bank deposit interest rate, the recognition of the ethical deposit commodity has a good predictability for the adoption intention. Finally, the findings of this study indicate the bank's future direction in the development of ethical deposits and the future research direction for ethical deposits.
