Some suggested that high self-esteem might cause bullying behaviors, though others asserted that low self-esteem is what we should pay attention. However, some studies mentioned that self-esteem possessed instability. Without considering stability of self-esteem, it cannot clarify the influence of self-esteem. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine the level and stability of self-esteem in the prediction of bullying behavior by using multinomial logistic regression by analyzed the data collected by the Olive Branch Center of National Taipei University during September 2016. The results suggested that a negative correlation between both level and stability of self-esteem and bullying behavior, which means the lower level and more unstable of self-esteem that individuals have, the higher likelihood of probability of bullying behaviors they will act. The level and stability of self-esteem have no significant different effects between sporadically aggressive behavior and bullying behavior. Moderator analysis suggested that stability of self-esteem has no significant influence on level of self-esteem in the prediction of bullying behavior. Based on the research results, this study suggested providing an explicit counseling guideline in accordance with psychological factors behind bullying behavior. Besides, there is no need to distinguish sporadically aggressive behavior and bullying behavior in counseling treatments of low-level self-esteem and unstable self-esteem LIN, YU-SHENG 林育聖 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 44 zh-TW
