Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 藝術與造形設計學系碩士班 === 106 === Libido awakening, the so-called libido, is a state of perception that is being suppressed on a subconscious level, and this awakening is a rousing from the inner world. Libido awakening includes a sneak peek at people’s lusts, which is a taboo within complex social norms. In early childhood education work, our innate yet indescribable desire for sex, setting self-imposed limits, and the exploration of human nature, can be observed as an intuitive expression of life. A kaleidoscope constructs an image as both a medium and a metaphorical object of desire, in which subconscious emotions are injected. Inviting an audience to peep through interactive devices, leads from the unconscious → awakening → awareness cycle, to personally participate in the kaleidoscope creation. The power from the beginning and the end are interconnected, and the actual desire to at peek sexual awakening is explored, as the work expresses the repressed desires of human nature. Through the action of peeking, it is hoped that the anxiousness of exceeding taboos and the fear of violating taboos both represent the true feelings of desire and the weight of existence.
The expression of sex and art can be interpreted and liberated through different works of art and texts. From personal desires and introspection, awakening dormant sexual desire from the subconscious layer projects the conflict inherent between the self and reality; repressed sexual desire is sublimated into positive energy upon release, and opens a Kaleidoscope of new possibilities.
