Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 語文與創作學系碩士班 === 106 === This research aims to discuss contents of Chinese textbooks (academic years 2015-2017) under the Grade 1-9 Curricular, focusing on the parent-child education initiation sample essays selected in the three textbook editions published by Nan Yi, Kang Hsuan, and Han Lin. By means of interviews, this research attempts to understand how teachers utilize the content and layout of these textbooks. This research is divided into five chapters. Chapter one introduces the research motive and purpose, method, research field and limits as well as discusses reference materials. Chapter two analyzes parent-child education initiation sample essays in the three textbook editions mentioned, regarding the editor’s note sections, essay distribution in various volumes, and essay selection. Chapter three compares the parent-child education initiation sample essays in the three textbook editions, ordered from the most to the least common among them. Chapter four illustrates the interviews with six teachers, where they share their teaching experiences in using sample essays from the three textbook editions and how they feel about the distribution of parent-child education initiation sample essays in textbooks. Chapter five presents the research results and prospects. By means of textual analysis and interviews, this research illustrates the layout and contents of the textbooks editions mentioned, the distribution of parent-child education initiation sample essays in them and how teacher acutually utilize them. Based on the study results, the research made some suggestions to the textbook publishers, the teachers’ instruction and the studies in the future. The conclusions are as follows: 1.All three editions confirm that Chinese textbooks can serve as a means to cultivate students’ mind. Furthermore, their layout conforms to the curriculum guidelines. The editions do not have significant difference, although the purpose description section in the Nan Yi edition is more detailed and complete, rendering better functions for enlightening students and cultivating their mind. 2.The overall selection of parent-child education initiation sample essays in the three editions varies slightly, but the essays are distributed unevenly in various volumes. In a three-year curricular, the edition with the highest proportion of these essays and extended reading articles is Kan Hsuan, followed by Nan Yi and then Han Lin; while the edition with the highest proportion of further reading suggestions is Nan Yi, followed by Kang Hsuan and then Han Lin. 3.The teacher interviewees are constrained by the test-oriented system and limited teaching time. This affects the implementation of affective education. Still, most of them are able to use the sample essays to support affective education, helping students to better connect emotionally with their parents.
