On a day off, a person may visit an art gallery during the day while going to a concert at night. A whole day spent immersed in the visual beauty and auditory feast can not only help relieve the work-related stress, but also nurture the aesthetic sense we're born with. Painting and music belong to two different art categories- visual and auditory, respectively. There is some sort of connection between the two art forms in spite of the distinctively different mediums employed. From a historical perspective, the art presentation of the people residing in the same area at the same time, is based on the artists' interaction with the environment as well as among themselves. In another word, it's natural in the cultural revolution to find similar (or somehow connected) essence of art in spite of the different art forms employed. Created on the basis of art correspondence of painting and music, the study used choral music as the starting point and adopted the creation element "musicking" defined by Christopher Small. "Musicking" refers to the involvement of any form of musical performance, be it performing, listening, rehearsing, providing performance input, or dancing to the music. Inspired by musicking, the author incorporated personal memories and feelings into creating the paintings. Coupled with the learning through collecting, organizing and analyzing the literature related to art history, the author created her thesis, which composed of the following sections: 1)the motivations of creation, 2)literature organizing and analysis, 3)actualization in painting creation, 4)work appreciation and analysis, 5)conclusion. Through this study, the author continues to explore and expand her creative essences and style in the future. Zhu, You-Yi 朱友意 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 57 zh-TW |
