In our country, scouting education aims to achieve character education, skills and knowledge teaching, self-care, patriotism, and helping others through educational methods such as voluntary participation, outdoor activities, specific ceremonies, and learning by doing. Qualitative research was adopted in the study. Six scout volunteers whom has been to basic wood badge course training were interviewed. Based on the data analysis, the results were as following: 1. Scout volunteers have positive motivation and expectations for basic wood badge course training. 2. The prior knowledge and prerequisite capacities have an impact on the learning process. 3. The learning outcomes and reflection of Scout volunteers contribute to future work performance.
