In recent years, many studies have confirmed that exercise can bring positive benefits to the brain. The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of gymnastic exercise on the attention of ADHD junior high school students. Methods: Two ADHD students with a doctor’s diagnosis certificate were recruited in the study. Besides, they received individualized education programs from school as well. The researcher helped the two students get used to exercising for thirty minutes each time, two times a week and lasted for eight straight weeks. Computerized Attention Diagnostic Assessment (CADA) was used to see if the subjects had different reaction before and after the experiment. The classroom observation data was collected through a non-focused behavior observation recording form. Withdrawal designs was used in the single subject research, and the subjects were compared in visual analysis to see if their attention has changed before, during and after the experiment. Results: After the intervention of gymnastic exercise for eight weeks, the attention of pictures and languages, the total score of the three factors were all improved As for the behavior observation in class, the attention was improved. Even if the gymnastic exercise was removed, it still had maintenance effects, but only lasted for less than a week.
