The researcher consulted the fourth-graders’ Arts and Humanities textbooks of Han-Lin edition and edited the lesson plans, taking her fourth-graders as the subject. The three units were designed and taught within twelve music classes. During the period, the students’ learning attitude and response were noticed; a variety of data were collected through tape recording, the teaching reflection diary, the feedbacks from other teachers after watching, and students’ learning feedbacks.
After analyzing the data, the results and findings are as follows:
1. Applying CM to classes improved students’ learning motivation. The proportion of listening, playing and composing activities in a CM teaching plan can be adjusted depend on each unit’s focus; which can change the result of CM teaching.
2. Teacher’s ability of teaching innovation improved after completed the CM teaching plan.
3. Students had positive response to CM teaching sections when teacher applied complex materials include but now limited in textbooks. This teaching plan can improve students’ music basic ability.
4.The fourth-graders had the ability of music composing. They would dare to show it after being inspired by CM music teaching sections. Students enjoy simple instrumental ensembles and willing to express their feedback after each unit.
Based on the research results, it was advised that teachers should constantly obtain new knowledge and reflect the teaching plan and teaching contexts. Apply supplementary properly, give students the freedom to music composing, apply simple instrumental ensembles in classes could build up the win-win music class scenario.
