This paper also investigates the appeal of Hiyawu’s novels and analyzes his writing style and methods of expression to determine the influence of the text in his novels on novels of the same genre as well as to provide a writing direction for aspiring writers of the romance genre . Through textual analysis and literature review, Hiyawu’s writing style, character images, and narrative structure are inferred from the perspective of narratology. This paper, which discusses Hiyawu’s romance novels, is divided into six sections: The first section (i.e., introduction) describes the research motivation and objectives, research scope and term definitions, research methods and procedures, and a literature review. The second section analyzes and discusses the growth and creative process of Hiyawu; meticulously organizes Hiyawu’s growth, rise, and motivation for creation; expounds on the popular phenomena of Hiyawu’s novels; and analyzes the genres of his novels. The third section proposes and examines five major characteristics of Hiyawu’s novels: love; friendship and family affection; political inclinations and values; language and dialogue; typesetting features; and personal marketing. The fourth section separately performs role analyses of the main male characters, main female characters, and minor characters in the novels. From the perspective of narratology, the fifth section analyzes the layout of the plot, handling of perspectives, sequence of time, and other aspects and summarizes the narrative structure of the novels. The sixth section provides a conclusion and discusses the influence and future prospects of Hiyawu’s novels.
