However, little study was found regarding rope training on enhancing volleyball specific physical fitness. Therefore, our study was to determine the effect of rope jumping training on the agility, power and jumping in the elementary volleyball players. Methods: Twenty subjects were recruited from the fifth grades in an elementary school and randomly divided subjects into two groups (Experimental group, n=10 and Control group, N=10). During the experimental period, all subjects performed the rope jumping training and general volleyball training every Monday to Friday per week. However, before the volleyball training, the experimental group should do the warm-up exercise and then 15-minute rope jumping training with additional weight, while the control group performed 15-minute rope jumping training. The volleyball specific physical fitness was measured before and after 12-week experimental exercise trial. Results: The results showed that there were no significant differences on the volleyball specific physical fitness tests and the basic volleyball related skill tests between the two groups before the experiment. After 12-week experimental trial with/without weight rope jumping training, the agility response was significantly improved in the experimental group (P<0.05). there was no significant difference of power, jump and volleyball related skill between two group. Conclusion: No beneficial volleyball related physical fitness and skills were found after the 12-week volleyball training with additional weight rope jumping training. However, this training mode influenced the agility capacity on elementary volleyball players. CHENG, I-SHIUNG 程一雄 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 74 zh-TW
