Following a semi-structured interview, three volunteered primary caregivers were questioned about their experience in hospice care, especially on their family support and emotional adjustments process. The recordings of the interview were then transcribed and analyzed to form an interpretation of the common experience that caregivers shared. The results of this study were as follows: 1Experience and affection of primary care-giver include: (1) Self-conflict increased in voluntary caregiver; (2) Conscious repression of the negative emotions; (3) The emotion relieved from hospice care. 2Family support for the primary caregiver and its effects includes: (1)Family support enhanced family cohesion; (2) Family support was mainly emotional support; (3) Different family support was developed respectively. 3Emotional adjustment process of primary caregiver include: (1) Confounded by the disease; (2)Anger increased; (3)Suffering and denial after hospice care; (4) Worrisome, frustration and helpless about the long-term care; (5)Acceptance of the eventual death of the patient. 4The effects of family support for emotional adjustment include: (1) Family support had affection with self-esteem of primary caregiver; (2) Importance of Family support on emotion catharsis; (3) Optimistic about care process and value. Finally, based on the results of the study, the researcher proposed some suggestions for psychological practitioners, primary caregivers and future stuides.
