| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 美術學系碩士班 === 106 === Inspired by the observation of costal environment while in the university, the purpose of this research focuses on exploring the relationship between the ocean and human beings, as well as the contemporary issues of coastal environment changes and pollution. Images of coastal ecological species and man-made civilization are used for apposition in series to try to present the imbalanced, awkward situation of ocean environment caused by the oppression of human society civilization, thereby delivering the elegy of ocean ecology.
In terms of theories, the existing problems of coastal environment at home were found through the understanding towards development status of coastal environment in Taiwan islands. The value of all living beings is reflected through the concepts towards ecological ethics, elaborated by scholars from ecological and environmental fields. Next, researchers will analyze various artists’ art pieces on environmental issues. Finally, with the integration of the different concepts of research topics, the utilization of symbols as metaphors, adapting a gray scale coloring scheme and space configuration to locate and establish personal creative vocabulary.
The work is based on the creation between 2014 and 2017 to explore the relevance of imbalance between natural ecology and people, as well as between nature and social environment. Literature review revealed the roles that human plays in the natural environment and the impact effect caused by people’s action in the society to the natural circle. Through the writing process of the discussion, the recognition and comprehension towards natural environment are reflected and rebuilt; moreover, composition method is adjusted again and again through the fulfillment of creation in order to reliably deliver emotional feelings as well as increase creative vision and energy. The anticipation is to bring back social public’s humanism thoughts and sense of morality, as well as deeper concern and focus on the natural environment that has coexisted with mankind. The thoughts and experiences obtained from research process this time will be used to initiate further creation in the future.
