Qualitative research methods were conducted viadata collection, fields observation and in-depth interview in this study. The historical background of these teams were introduced through related literature and interviews. The situation of financial support, difficulties and challenges of team management were comprehensively described and analysis in SWOT form in order to discuss the current situation, difficulties and future prospects of the performing arts
teams in Taichung City. This study found that government funding play an important role for small teams in terms of how much funding subsidies were made. As for medium-sized teams, the cost of the team increases year by year. Thus, luck of some government funding may only effect a small percentage of their needs. However, it can provide the team growth in a more stable path. For large teams, government support was not the main source of team funding. Large groups generally have sufficient energy to win performance opportunities to maintain team spending and continue to make good use of management strategies to become excellent brand teams.
