Six elite college boxing athletes (body height: 177 3.6 cm; weight: 72.8 9.0 kg; age: 19.4 1.0 years old) participated voluntarily for this study. They were asked to perform the movement of one-two-one (jab-cross-jab) combination continually to bag and non-bag for 20 second randomly. Five wireless inertial sensors (Norxon myoMotion, 200 Hz), one Norxon TeleMyo DTS receiver, and one 400 G accelerometer (1500 Hz) were synchronized to acquire and to analysis the angular kinematical data of trunk, shoulder, and elbow. The 2 (jab) × 2 (punch condition) repeated two-way ANOVA was adopted to analyze the statistical difference with an alpha level of .05. The results showed the elbow joint did not extend fully to punch on the bag. The peak elbow extension velocity and the peak punching acceleration of the second jab were higher than the first jab under the conditions of bag punching and non-bag punching. The peak angular velocities of upper extremity and the peak punching acceleration in bag punching were higher than non-bag punching.
