Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 語言治療與聽力研究所 === 106 === The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of using visual figure-ground in word-recognition board game for four-to-six-year-old preschool children with developmental language delay. In total, twenty-seven preschoolers from the Nantou area were recruited to participate in this study. Fifteen of the preschoolers in experimental group accepted an intervention program of word-recognition board game for 12 times. Abilities of print icon recognition and indirect word recognition of the participants were investigated by pre-test and post-test. The word recognition learning ability was also examined in each class. Results showed that: (a) A significant different was found between pre- and post-test in the print icon recognition and word recognition. (b) Word recognition learning ability for children showed improvement after the board game intervention program. It is hoped that the result will be helpful for clinicians to improve word recognition skills in preschool children, and also shed light for future researches.
