Summary:碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 高階經營碩士班 === 106 === This research is focus on the strategy of Taiwanese banks which used to operate ASEAN market, the difficulties Taiwanese banks face, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of different business strategies. In recent years, Taiwanese banks have been actively set overseas branches, especilly in Southeast Asian. Therefore, the strategies and difficulties Taiwanese banks face are important and practical. Previous studies have focused on literature and external data. The researcher has served in the banking industry in Vietnam for 16 years. Through dicussing this issue with experienced interviewees, the research get some discoveries. This research is based on case study method, unstandardized interviews and some external data. The results reveal that Vietnam’s banking regulation is economic regulation, and it let Taiwanese banks have compliance costs. However, Taiwanese banks lack experienced and talented staff and use global strategy. It results in many unnecessary costs, internal friction and strategic direction. In recent years, Taiwan has invested a lot and FDI of Vietnam has increased year by year. Many Taiwanese, foreign and local enterprises all need bank support for finance.By this reason, this research find the most appropriate strategy is servicing all kin od customers.
