Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 電機工程學系研究所 === 106 === The thesis is to study the implementation of energy storage system to enhance system transient stability for the isolated power grid of Kinmen Island with high renewable energy penetration. At first, the grid data of Kinmen power system including the network topology, the system load profile and the operation strategy with unit commitment of the diesel generators are collected. The mathematical model of the governor and exciter of the diesel generators is confirmed and derived.The hourly generation data of the wind generators and photovoltaic generation system on the Kinmen Island. The relationship between the wind speed and the output power of the wind generator and the relationship of solar irradiance and the photovoltaic generation are derived for each season. The system transient stability for the peak and off peak operation conditions is investigated for contingency scenario such as tripping of diesel generators and wind generators or ramping change of PV power generation. To enhance the system reliability, the energy storage system is applied to improve the system frequency response to prevent the execution of low frequency load shedding. The energy storage system is also used to support the smoothing of net load curve by considering the green energy generation and system load demand so that better unit commitment of diesel generators can be achieved.
