Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 管理學院國際經營管理碩士學程 === 106 === This research results demonstrated how personal values influence the leadership and career-life balance of two Taiwanese female entrepreneurs. Based on Harvard Professor Daniel Goleman’s leadership theory, female leadership theories and two personal value theories to analyze this issue. The findings confirm that personal values influence their leadership style and career-life balance. Besides, the interviewees state that gender stereotype is not a major barrier to their career but it increases duties in their family roles. Lastly, the findings suggest that government should develop a gender-equal society and provide more social welfare to help the female to balance their career and family life. I think of Anne Morrow Lindbergh, a famous adventurer and litterateur who published a book, titled the “Gift from the sea” in 1955. She pointed out that “each woman would face some issues in her life such as: How to get along with others? How to be alone? How to balance life and career?” I believe that most women are not exceptions to those rules and they have managed to balance their life and career, well so far.
