The internet era will be rooted in both traditional industries and emerging businesses. As an integral platform for e-commerce, third-party payment is a convenient, fast, and secure technology that provides technical guarantees and credit guarantees for banks and buyers and sellers. In the second quarter of 2017, the transaction volume of the third-party mobile payment market reached 27.1 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 95.4%. This essay first compares the development of the third-party payments market in Mainland China and western countries, using the macro-PESTLE analysis to better understand the current status of China''s third-party payment market. Alipay, as the world''s largest third-party payment platform, understanding its internal control mechanism would help establish more complete internal control process for the entire third party payment industry This essay has conducted risk analysis and SWOT analysis for Alipay and has proposed strategies to manage the risk and challenges Alipay has been facing. Strengthening Alipay''s awareness of risk management, researching and analyzing Alipay''s risk control and deficiencies, and adopting corresponding measures to prevent and circumvent various risks can better position Alipay for future growth and opportunities. At the end of the paper, we found that Alipay has continuously innovated through changes in recent years. It must constantly improve information technology to ensure the consistency and stability of transactions. In addition, the regulatory system must still strictly regulate the sustainable operation of the Chinese payment market. Finally, it is suggested that Alipay and the government work together to formulate proposals concerning cooperation supervision and innovative commodities, which will enable Alipay to gain better opportunities and space for development.
