Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 工業管理系所 === 106 === Nowadays, sleeves are widely used in the production of casting and continuous improvement of the internal quality are required. Casting manufacturers concern more on using reasonable casting techniques and casting auxiliary materials to improve quality, reduce cost and environmental protection. Therefore, insulated sleeves and heated sleeves are commonly used for feeding castings rather than traditional sand-type sleeve.
In cast forming process, the function of sleeve cavity is to store liquid metal and replenishment metal, prevent shrinkage, venting and slag collection during the formation. The main function of sleeve is to feed casting and the moisture content will affect the quality of the casting. Therefore, the moisture content is the main condition to determine the yield rate of the sleeves and good moisture content is set between 0.8% and 1.0%.
This study use the Taguchi method to deal with single quality characteristics by calculating S/N ratio of each quality characteristic and finds the best parameter combination. These values will be giving to on-site for adjustment in order to reduce costs, improve quality and improve Company competitiveness.
