A Study on the Relationship of the Involvement of Leisure Activity Types and Personality Traits by Elementary School Teachers in Kaohsiung City

碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 107 === 　　The aims of this study are to comprehend:(a) the current situation of leisure activity involvement under personality traits of Kaohsiung Elementary School teachers, and(b) to analyze the effects of different socioeconomic factors on personality traits and leisure activities, and(c) to investigate the relationship between personality traits and leisure activities among these teachers.The researcher conducted purposive sampling questionnaire survey. 380 out of 8,693 elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City were targeted as the research objects. 373 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed through descriptive statistics, one-way MANOVA, Scheffe’s post-hoc comparison, and Pearson product-moment correlation by SPSS for Windows 19.0. The results are as follows: 1. Agreeableness accounts for the highest proportion of the personality traits of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City . 2. The teachers’ personality traits are significantly correlated with gender, age, seniority, and family status. 3. Knowledge and family activities are the most frequently involved leisure activity, on the contrast, sports and outdoor experience activities the least. 4. The teachers’ leisure activity involvement presents significant differences on family status. 5. There are significant differences in terms of the personality traits and leisure activity involvement.
