Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 資訊科學系碩士班 === 106 === Chatbot is an innovative issue and technology in recent years. Chatbot with instant messaging service provides friendly user interfaces and matches users’ user experiences. Therefore, chatbot has gradually replaced particular applications and browser services and has been applied in various fields in addition to the education filed. Literatures indicated that seventh grade students are difficult to learn biology course in second semester and they have frustrated and unhappy learning experience to the course. As mentioned above, this study aims to develop a LINE chatbot to support students’ learning in the ecology and environment units of the biology course, and further investigate the effects of the LINE chatbot on students’ learning performance. To enable the proposed chatbot to provide quality learning materials to students, this study adopted the learning materials from Junyi Academy platform. Moreover, the proposed chatbot can record students’ learning behaviors and further provide personal learning service to each student. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, an experiment was conducted on a biology course at a junior high school in southern Taiwan. The experimental results show that, in comparison with the students of the control group, the students of the experimental group have better learning performance, learning motivation and learning satisfaction. In addition, the students also presented the positive perceptions on the system usefulness and ease of use.
