Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 社會發展學系碩士班 === 106 === The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between Child Rearing Patterns and emotional intelligence of primary school students in Pingtung county indigenous community. Furthermore, evaluate the differences with different background variables. The questionnaire survey was the method evaluation used to collect vital information. The questionnaire was entitled: “Questionnaire for Parents’ Child Rearing and emotional intelligence in primary school students”. Five hundred and sixty five valid questionnaires were obtained from primary school aboriginal students in Pingtung counties. Descriptive analysis, multiple choice questions analysis, t test, single factor variation analysis, Pearson product difference correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis are the methods used to analyze the data recollected from the survey. 1. Primary school students were generally aware of parental discipline, most with “enlightened authority” type. 2. “Rewarding encouragement” and “sometimes demanding and others letting go” are the child rearing styles favored by students. 3. Students are aware of their emotional intelligence, of which “understanding their own emotions” has highest results. 4. Primary school students prefer “Listening to music” and “watching television” when they are feeling bad emotionally. 5. For aboriginal primary school male students, living in tribes with several siblings, ranking the boss at home, fathers’ professional farming, have higher awareness of child rearing patterns. 6. For aboriginal primary school female students, six grade, living non-aboriginal tribes, have higher awareness of emotional intelligences than of the situation. 7. For aboriginal primary school students Child Rearing patterns affect the emotional intelligence; of which enlightened authority and authoritarian authority have positive; ignoring indifferences has negative impact. 8. The Child Rearing style that aboriginal primary school students attain can affectively explain the emotional intelligence; the power of “enlightened authority” has higher impact. In conclusion, corresponding to the above research, concrete suggestions were put into place to be used as reference by education authorities, national primary schools teachers and future researchers.
