The participants for the study were from a preschool in Kaohsiung that adopted the IB PYP curriculum. The participants ranged in age from 5 to 6 years old. The data for this study was collected through qualitative methods, which included interview, teacher observations, student worksheets and teacher’s teaching reflection. The results are as follows: 1. The IB learner profile is central to the IB mission statement. As children understood more about the learner profiles, they could identify caring behaviours more frequently. 2. The teaching strategies that can be implemented as part of a “Caring” curriculum includes: class routines, PYP activities and reflection of use of learner profiles, class discussions about moral issues and transdisciplinary themes, modeling with the use of storybooks, circle solutions and watching relevant videos. 3.Through caring curriculum, the children develop caring behaviours, such as looking after others, ways to help someone and how to identify when someone needs help. According to the research findings, this study provides suggestions for future reference of research and application in education fields. CHEN, YA-LING 陳雅鈴 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 118 zh-TW
