In recent years, due to serious air pollution, the issue of environmental protection has attracted more and more attention. Be-cause of the quiet, noise-free and non-air-polluting electric scooters, in response to the trend of electric scooters in the future, the government announced that the newly sold scooters in 2035 will be fully electrified. If the electric scooter industry want more profit, they should understand the needs of middle-aged and elderly people, produce electric vehicles at reasonable prices and provide more charging stations. The inevitable is that the electric car industry must pay attention to these problems.In this study, to understand middle-aged and elderly people’s consideration factors of choosing electric scooters by using literature analysis and brainstorming methods, and Analytic Hierarchy Process, establish the framework of decision-making for the choosing of electric scooters. Taking Nantou Couny , aged 45 and over people as subjects, 100 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed by Expert Choice software. The study found that middle-aged and elderly people choose the first dimension of choosing the electric scooter factors in order of importance and priority : the first ranking of the product factors, the second ranking of the price factor and the the third ranking of the service factor. In the three considerations, we can understand the respondents select a motor vehicle consideration’s factors which led to the product itself. From the middle-aged and elderly choosing electic vehicle’s consideration factors in this research to further study the second dimension’s fourteen indi-cators. The analysis about the first three indicators : maintenance and repair costs ranked the first, the endurance of the battery ranked the second, the battery price ranking the third. From the results of the study, we suggested that the middle-aged and the senior would pay more at-tention to the maintenance and repair fees, the battery life and the price of the batteries when buying the electric scooters. It is suggested that the electric vehicle Industry should reduce the maintenance and repair and costs , and increase the willingness to purchase. And Enhancing battery performance, increasing battery life is an important research topic.
