Foreign tourists often only know 101 and night markets through Taiwan tourism guide. The information is too limited. Therefore, this master’s thesis design project is dedicated to English version of infographic design of Taiwan tourism guide, introducing Taiwan's urban and cultural events. This master’s thesis project includes 20 administrative divisions in Taiwan. The information of this master’s thesis project was collected from the official website and references. After gathering related information, each work introduces the historical context, the details of the celebrations and cultural events, tourist attractions around the city, and traffic information and so on. This project develops a logical context of infographic design applied on Taiwan tourism guide to enhance the tourism of Taiwan. This infographic design applied on Taiwan tourism guide utilizes the graphic design, text information, color scheme and font planning to transform the text into the visual design forms. It delivers the features and travel information of cities in Taiwan, and interprets Taiwan's cultures with design. This series of works use the hierarchy of text to organize the complex information into infographics integrated with the characteristics of Taiwan's cultural and creative industry. This master’s thesis project wish to create the visual forms of Taiwan’s local design and art industry in a more contextual and understandable way of arranging information in design in order to attract tourists from different cultural backgrounds to be interested in traveling in Taiwan.
