Participant was one fifth grade female student with Down syndrome, age 12 years. This research used an ABA design of the single-subject experimental designs, including the bsaeling phases 2 weeks, the intervention phases 8 weeks, and the maintenance phases 2 weeks. The independent variable was walking exercise course at 16:20~17:20 from Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The researcher use demonstrating, observing, documenting and applying verbal instructions with bonus strategy to record the progress of the student. According to the change of five health-related physical fitness, through visual analysies, the record of student’s walking speed and distance were observed. After the intervention, parents, tutors, and special education teachers complete the implementation of the observation record form and the effectiveness evaluation form. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Three of the fore projects that promote health-related physical fitness through walking exercise course had achieved significant results (cardiovascular, muscular endurance), while the other two (BMI) and flexibility were significant effectiveness. 2. The intervention of the walking exercise course designed by the researcher (small hurdles, Inflatable hedgehog ball) distance, speed and bpm achieve remarkable results. 3. The four observers recorded learning outcomes, interpersonal relationships, and home life management during the 12-week walking exercise are significant progress.
