Questionnaire Method and four research tools, including “Personal Information”, “The Scale of Social Support”, “Adolescent Irrational Beliefs Scales”, and “The Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire” were adopted. The participants of the study were 981 junior high school students in Taiwan. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The major findings of this research were as follows: 1. Junior high school students on average showed a middle-high level of social Support, a middle level of irrational beliefs and body image. 2. Social support of junior high school students have significant difference among genders, grades and family structures. 3. Body image of junior high school students have significant difference among Genders and educational level of parents. 4. Junior high school students who are female have higher irrational beliefs of “demands”. 5. There were a significant positively correlations between junior high school students’ social support and body image. 6. There were a significant negatively correlations between junior high school students’ irrational beliefs and body image. 7. There were a significant negatively correlations between junior high school students’ social support and irrational beliefs. 8. Social support and irrational beliefs of junior high school students can predict body image. Based on the results, this study is to provide some suggestions for parents, teachers, counselors and further researches.
