Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 諮商心理與復健諮商研究所 === 106 === The purpose of this research is to investigate the relations among perceived parenting style, career self-concept, and career self-efficacy in college students in Taiwan. The instruments used in this research, including Perceived Parenting Style Scales, career self-concept Scales and Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale. There were 838 university students of Taiwan participating in this study. Moreover, according to the results of the questionnaires with descriptive statistics, Chi-square test, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation and multiple stepwise regression methods for data analysis. The finds of the study were summarized as follows:
1.University students mainly perceived an permissive-neglectful parenting style, also on average showed a middle-high level of career self-concept and career self-efficacy.
2.University students with different genders reach the significant differences in perceived mother’s permissive-neglectful parenting style.
3.University students with different experiences of part-time and public/private university reach the significant differences in career self-concept and career self-efficacy.
4.University students with different parenting styles reach the significant differences in career self-concept and career self-efficacy.
5.There were significant positively correlations between the career self-concept and career self-efficacy.
6.Perceived parenting style and career self-concept of university students can predict career self-efficacy.
In the end, implications of the results and suggestions for university students, university counselor and future studies also presented.
