According to previous research, most studies of intimate relationship were based on the paradigm of Western psychology, with little attention paid to the context in the Confucian culture. Therefore, this study has two studies. The study 1 aimed to develop an Intimate Relationship Self-Cultivation Scale. e. The participants of study 1 were 144 undergraduate students with beloved experience (mean age=23.37,SD=3.68). The data was analyzed with item-analysis, factor analysis, and Cronbach’s coefficient alpha for the scale. The study 2 proposed a conceptual model of intimate relationship based upon the Chinese Confucianism, and assumed significant correlations among attachment style, couple relationship satisfaction and intimate relationship self-cultivation. Intimate relationship self-cultivation might mediate the connection between attachment style and couple relationship satisfaction. The sample of study 2 consisted 288 undergraduate students (mean age=23.12, SD=3.99) and the instruments included Attachment Style Scale, Intimate Relationship Self-Cultivation Scale and Relationship Satisfaction Scale. The results support the hypothesis as follows. In the study 1, the Intimate Relationship Self-Cultivation Scale showed a good model fitness, along with good reliability and construct validity. In the study 2, there was a significantly positive correlation between secure attachment style and couple relationship satisfaction, and there was a significantly negative correlation between avoidant attachment style and couple relationship satisfaction. There was a significantly positive correlation between self-cultivation and couple relationship satisfaction. There was a significantly positive correlation between secure attachment style and self-cultivation, and a significantly negative correlation between avoidant attachment style and self-cultivation. Self-cultivation partially mediated between attachment style and couple relationship satisfaction, and between avoidant attachment style and couple relationship satisfaction. The implications and suggestion to future research and counseling application were addressed. SHIAH, YUNG-JONG 夏允中 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 70 zh-TW |
