Empirical results indicate that the resolution announcement of the Financial Supervisory Commission has a significant positive effect on the stock prices of financial industry, particular for the securities industry. However, the announcements of third-reading procedure in the Legislative Yuan and implementation do not have a significant positive influence on the stock prices of financial industry.
