Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 環境與安全衛生工程系碩士專班 === 106 === From many occupational accident cases or occupational accident statistics showed that unsafe behavior is the main cause of accident. The so-called "unsafe behavior" is an action or action pattern performed by workers due to lack of safety awareness, lack of experience, incorrect attitude, or physiological factors. Any incorrect behavior may lead to accidents, or even cause serious property damage or casualties. Domestic and foreign companies have already applied safety observation methods into their practice in safety management procedures. They use safety observations to find the unsafe behavior of workers as soon as possible and correct their behavior to ensure the safety of operations.
The purpose of this study is mainly to examine the current status of the observation process of the company’s safety behavior and to identify problems. After the completion of the systematic analysis, the research and design a work flow based on the PDCA management cycle. Explore the effectiveness through research methods, and ensure this safety behavior observation process can be effectively implemented within the company. It is expected that when unsafe behaviors are discovered in advance, they can guide the performance of safety behaviors of operators to reduce the occurrence of accidents and improve safety management performance.
Safety behavior observations were carried out through the research methods designed by this study. The results of the study showed that 100 unsafe behaviors were found in 334 safety behavior observations. The observed rate of unsafe behavior was 29.9%; and the incidence of the top three unsafe behaviors in the workplace was: human factors engineering, hand tools, and working environment.
