In the case of an increase in the number of ships and a constant sea area, the probability of causing an accident in the navigation of the ship is gradually increased. To improve the safety of ships sailing at sea, the development of Automatic Identification System becomes important objective. At the current stage of AIS technology, the returned AIS signal is only decoded for the necessary field information, and there is still room for improvement in the information display part. So this thesis choose Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench(LabVIEW) to do data acquisition for the backhaul message of the AIS receiver, and write an AIS message format conversion algorithm After that, write the AIS message format conversion algorithm, then fully decode the AIS system signal, and then integrate the decoded information into the built AIS database, let the database with complete AIS information to provide detailed marine ship information.
