Mazu worship has been accumulated over a long period of time, not only a part of folk belief, but a trend that affects the art of modern society and culture. With ancestors going to Taiwan, Mazu worship combined with local cultures in Taiwan, which developed Taiwan’s unique “Mazu culture”. This study first sorts out the story of Mazu’s life, and explores how the political party is always trying to need it on its side. The connotations of ‘god of sea’ and ‘Goddess’ construct the image of Mazu and the characteristics of Mazu worship. Then, taking ‘media images’ and ‘cultural and creative products’ under the influence of Mazu culture as research material, analyze how Mazu worship is interpreted in modern media images, and explore how Mazu was reshaped in comics, illustrations, and various types of figures in the cultural and creative industries. From the nature of belief, use contemporary media images and cultural and creative products to reinterpret Mazu worship, and let Mazu enter the arts fields from religious temple building. Through the interpretation of images and creative designs, present the Taiwanese culture with substance and depth. With creativity to attract new generations to approach the folk beliefs, images and creative designs act as a stylish religious token linking the gods, the temples and believers.
