Even clinical psychologists are experts in mental health services may be affected by common occupational mental health issues, such as work stress and burnout, which may cause conditions that affect work quality or reduce work efficiency. Clinical psychologists may have the potential for increased work-related stress and burnout risk because of the heavy workload, the nature of their profession and the possibility of ignoring self-care. Therefore, this study aims at exploring the work stress, self-care and burnout status of Taiwanese clinical psychologists, and also the correlation among the three. This study adopts a quantitative cross-sectional study method and uses online structured questionnaires “Chinese version of Mental Health Professionals Stress Scale”, “Psychologists Self Care Scale” and “Chinese version of Maslach Burnout Inventory” to collect data. And data are analyzed by SPSS statistical software.Individuals with clinical psychologists' licenses and currently engaged in clinical psychologist's work are recruited as research participants, and there are 187 valid samples. The main findings of the study are shown as below: (1) The most stressful stressors in Taiwan's clinical psychologists are “workload” and “professional self-doubt”; Ignoring self-care in the practice process is not found in this study; The level of three dimensions of burnout are all moderate. (2)Both of the age and the years of work experience of clinical psychologists are significantly negatively correlated with level of burnout of clinical psychologists. (3) The work stress and self-care of clinical psychologists can significantly predict burnout. (4) Among the factors related to burnout, the higher the perceived stress level of clinical psychologists in stressors “workload”, “professional self-doubt”and “relationships and conflicts with other professionals”, the higher risk of emotional exhaustion to a high level. On the contrary, the higher the level of self-care at the "professional dimension", the lower risk of emotional exhaustion to a high level; the higher the perceived stress level of clinical psychologists in stressors "home/work conflict" and "case-related difficulties" , the higher risk of depersonalization to a high level; the higher age of the clinical psychologist, the higher level of self-care at the“spiritual dimension”, and the work region in southern Taiwan (compared to the north)will reduce the risk of low personal achievement to a high level. Implications, limitations, and suggestions for practical application and future research are also discussed. Yen-Chun Liu 劉彥君 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 65 zh-TW
