Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 輔導與諮商學系 === 106 === The major purpose of this study was to explore the deciding main factors of junior high school students’ choices of senior high school programs. Tand he struacture of the factors was also examined related to considerations for entering high school of junior high school students .The study gathered two sets of datainformation by questionnaire surveys,and divided into two phases. The first set of data was to develop the items for the research survey product the questionnaire,interviewing This data was from 166 junior high school students. They wrote down what they would consider when choosing a senior high school program. The second dataset was from the completion of the resaerch survey by 435 third-year students from three junior high schools. The survey included 48 deciding factors resulted from the first dataset and the 4 extra factors from the Career Booklet. each from two junior high school in Taichung city and Nantou county for pilot study,then organizing and combing materials from those students and checking one against another with” Career Counselling Manual for Junior High School Students”. Second, with adopting self-design questionnaire instrument of decision-making by advancing to senior high schools for junior high school students,there are totally 457 study participants, including 9th-grade students in Taichung city and Nautou county. Through cluster sampling acquire 457 junior high school students, which were 435 students valid.The data were analyzed by cluster analysis, principal components analysis , descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The results of the study were described as the followings:
1.To explain the considerations of school choices ,this study found 52 deciding factors ,which divided into 11 clusters and two constructs.
2. ”Ability Learning”,”Personal Traits”and”Convenience& Economy” were the three highest deciding factors of junior high school stidents’ program choices.are critical considerations for entering high school of junior high school students .
3. Gender differences were found for some deciding clusters and no differene was found among the three schools of this study. Considerations for entering high school varied significantly in different sex.
4. Only some parts of considerations for entering high school varied significantly in different school.
Finally, based on the above findings, the researchers discussed and provided the suggestions for education and future studies.
