By using the comic-based MKT instrument, we investigated high school teachers’ MKT in the " lines and planes in 3-D geometry" unit and understand the teacher's preferences for the comic-based MKT instrument. In the study, the senior teachers' years of teaching were ranged from 6 to 23 years, the novice teachers' years of teaching was ranged from 3 to 5 years, and pre-service teachers who have no formal teaching experience. We chose 5 participants from each senior, novice and pre-service groups. A total of 15 persons were involved in this study. In the data analysis, we used a qualitative method to produce the high school teachers’ MKT. Results showed that, the performance of pre-service teachers were comparable to senior teachers. The results supported to Akiba’s study in 2017. Akiba’s study pointed out the quality of teacher training in Taiwan, including teacher selection and teacher evaluation, as well as obtaining teacher qualifications and teacher positions, it ranks first among 17 countries (Akiba, 2017). Interestingly, KCS was not necessarily hold by senior teachers. From the results of the study, we found that teachers with rich teaching experience can show SCK. According to the feedback from teachers, the teacher believed that the comic-based instrument can help to integrate into the situation when answering questions.
