Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 國文學系 === 106 === The study investigated the errors of junior high school students in composition writing class. Errors were identified based on relevant composition theories and the researcher’s teaching experiences. Furthermore, strategies for composition writing will be provided for Chinese teachers to teach composition more efficiently. The purpose of the study is as follows: 1) analyze the students’ errors based on four writing composition rubrics and provide efficient strategies; 2) arouse students’ interests in writing; 3) develop effective teaching strategies. The process of the research will be divided into two stages: First, problems the researcher encountered during the study will be presented. Second, how the researcher overcame these difficulties will be described. The study aims to analyze students’ errors based on four writing composition rubrics: 1) the formation of main ideas; 2) structure and organization; 3) word usage and 4) the use of punctuation. Students’ erroneous writing examples will be classified and evaluated. At last, model works of students’ composition writing will be presented to enhance student’s ability of writing. Suggestions will be provided for Chinese teachers in future composition teaching.
