| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 應用藝術研究所 === 106 === Nowadays, web platforms have flourished. There are many brand new forms of comics born on the Internet. Motion Comics is one of them. The reading experience afforded by motion comics is between that of traditional paper comics and cartoons. This reading experience goes very well with the plot design of the author's graduation creation, "Begins with Death," so the author chose to adopt motion comics to create this work. This thesis covers topics like comparing the comic reading experience of different online platforms, exploring the relationship between the development of comics in Taiwan and the works of the author, as well as the visual arts and life experiences that affected the author’s graduation creation. The author's family life and career experience are the two most crucial factors in shaping this work. However, at the same time, the core of the true narrative of this creation lies in the failure of a woman's growth and socialization process and finally the reconciliation between her self and Self.
This study will also elaborate on the metaphorical and symbolic content of " Begins with Death ", as well as the course of its evolution through two exhibitions.
Finally, the author wishes to make self-expectations on the creation itself and the outlook after the creation. Being honest with oneself is the only vehicle to reconciliation with our trauma on the path of art.
