| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 應用藝術研究所 === 106 === Seed Project is a retrospect of my life. I selected 10 stories, using seeds to connect with every significant moment from the 25 years throughout my life. Seeds are like those punctuation marks in the paragraphs of life, which mark and piece together the memories. This time I tried to visualize my memories and write short passages about my life. I began my story with childhood, followed by elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, college, and then graduate school.
Based on retrospection the process of life, I design seeds as the media to connect emotions and words and turning them into visual compositions. During the process, I discover masters' works in order to explore deeper graphic design theory. In addition, I reexamine the posters which I had done, and try to put the new ideas and skills into “Seed Project”. Therefore, I look forward to create breakthrough works.
The thesis structure includes three chapters. In the first chapter, I focus on the motivation, purpose, area, limitations, methods and structure. Secondly, I study graphic design masters' posters and analyze them. Besides, their experiences and the illustration of the influences on me are the main point as well. In the third chapter, I put the eye on my thoughts of experiencing poster design and exhibitions. Finally, after figuring out the mode of poster design and combining the above, I integrate all of them into “Seed Project”.
