Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 管理學院科技管理學程 === 106 === In 2017, business models and solutions using artificial intelligence technology has seen explosive growth in processor computing power. The traditional CPU computing power is not enough to meet the demand. In order to enhance the hardware computing power, learning and inference of accelerating algorithms with wafers has become a major direction in the development of artificial intelligence, so the dedicated artificial intelligence chip is bound to be the main core component of the hardware system in the coming years. Field programmable gate array (FPGA) can be configured according to the demand of the user, and has the characteristics of reconfigurable circuits. As a result, the reconfigurable of the FPGA shows its advantage during the time when the artificial intelligence algorithms are still evolving. In this thesis, we will take Xilinx Corporation, a leading FPGA supplier in the world, as a case study object. First, it compares the differences in existing management methods between the Xilinx and the other chip company, and use the Porter five forces analysis and Gary Hamel's theoretical model to analysis the Xilinx's business model and strategy, and finally explore how it adjust their business model and strategy to respond to the emerging artificial intelligence chip market.
