The statistics show the major lesion would be Cataract. The only effective treatment is to remove the original crystal, then implant intraocular lens(IOL) to improve the vision. The production and certification of intraocular lens(IOL) abroad has accurately effective for decades. Recently, Taiwan has successfully transfer the main technology among critical manufacturing and material. With a view to enhance the capability of self-manufacturing intraocular lens(IOL) among biological technology industry. As a result of the unstable condition of the yield rate through the process. The main reason would be the deep lathe line on the ultra-precision lathe process, which cannot be removed after tumbling and cause the scrapped products, resulting seriously affecting efficiency. At present, there is no relevant information in the literature discussing about the process yield of intraocular lens(IOL), so we need the equipment and the engineering team to find out the key factor by analyzing all the factors. Therefore, this study uses DOE to plan the experiment. We analyze the data to obtain the best factor combination and use it to verify the experiment, may improve the lathing yield effectively. The results can enhance and stabilize the yield rate of intraocular lens(IOL) and make Taiwan more competitive on the supply chain of the intraocular lens(IOL).
