Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 國際文教與比較教育學系 === 106 === The following study intends to show the perceptions of Latin American students benefited with Taiwanese scholarships regarding to the culture and competences of Taiwan; based on the findings made in this study, it is possible to make a definition on how students perceive the experience of adapting to Taiwanese society and culture in a normal way. In this study, it is possible to see factors such as language, cultural shock, family separation, housing, the pressure of not being understood, in which Latin American students might perceive as a challenge when they pursue a higher education degree. In this study, various groups of Latin American students who are recipients of different kinds of scholarships provided by Taiwan were analyzed based on their type of scholarship and their type of university, some differences were founded on how the diverse faculties in the universities work internally, and also how scholarships are regulated around public or private universities. In addition, the study also covers how students are able to analyze issues within their study institutions, identifying diverse problem patterns that are possible to eliminate if the advice given in this study is taken into account.
