CONCLUSION
History and Life are two issues that Li Rui keeps concerning most in his writing process. He has presented the painful road that Chinese nation walk through from classical age to modern era. This process which is more than a century has been full of pain, fear, hatred, chaos and death, resulting in countless innocent and respectable individual life vanished in the name of historical necessity. Modern age is a revolutionary era, lives may disappear easily at any moment. Li Rui deeply hates this kind of irrationality and cruelty from history, so he determined to reveal the value of lives which submerged by the waves of history. He can promote the spirit of humanism and question the ideal that cost lives like nothing by his lifetime writing. As he said, he tries to salvage lives from the lies of history.
