Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 土木工程學系 === 106 === Green roadway is getting more important for sustainable environment. However, engineers are not familiar with green roadway rating systems and do not know how to choose the indicators to design and construct a sustainable roadway. This research developed the guidelines for incorporating the Greenroads indicators into roadway design. It reviewed literature in sustainable transportation and assessment indicators and examined Greenroads manual in indicators and their requirements, as a basis for further assessment of cost and difficulty of indicators. Then the indicators were classified based on their characteristics and then prioritized from other research derivation and questionnaire results. It also interviewed designers on how they consider indicators and the degree of consideration. Finally, this study developed the design guidelines to incorporate the Greenroads indicators into roadway design. The results show that the indicators can be divided into six categories: document, resource use, waste, ecological habitat, benefits and society. The results from the derivation (questionnaire) indicate that 24 (23) indicators are high priority, 14 (12) middle priority, and 7 (10) low priority. The priority of 21 indicators was changed by the questionnaire because of different roadways and designers’ considerations. Among the six categories of Greenroads indicators, the environment & water (EW) is on the highest consideration level and the material & design (MD) is the lowest. For the 57 indicators excluding creativity & effort (CE), 19 are considered frequent, 6 common and 32 infrequent. The indicators can be divided into three levels according to the priority and the degree of consideration. To achieve a higher sustainability, designers first complete the PR indicators, then select the first level indicators for 76 points. If the score is not satisfactory, designers can choose the second level indicators. If it is still below the expectation, the last level indicators can be chosen. Designers can select the indicators that can be completed by the project to receive an expected score of green roadway certification.
