The equipment is designed for remedying Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo(BPPV), which proposed by the predecessors. The improvement of mechnical parts include six motions such as supine, left/right roatiation for head and body. The goal is making the canalith restored to its normal position by gravity. In this study, Programmable Logic Control(PLC) is used as the control unit for the automatic equipment. Pneumaticsource is the driving power, the position of the pneumatic cylinder is detected by the signal generated by the reed switch to control the movement. This study also designed a circuit system to avoid error occurred. This device provides an emergency stop-function when the patient feels uncomfortable. In addition, this research solved the problem of moving the head position when patient is switching the position from lie down to side way. This mechanism design study uses an excellent drawing software Soildworks to decrease the percentage of incident errors and reduce the development cost for the organization. The visual aids were used during the process of researching. The results showed that if the treatment was followed, the effect of canalith restoration could be healed.
