In the field of computer vision, there are many ways to describe objects. This thesis describes objects in terms of centroids and uses two practices as examples. The center of mass is applied to the prediction of image trajectories and position of air hockey, so that we use a camera to capture desktop information. When offline, we analyze the hockey disk information and track the hockey disk when online. We predict the trajectory of the disk movement and further obtain the next centroid position. Application center of gravity for triangulation, we measure the depth of objects with non-contact measurement. We project the point laser light on the object, and based on the image processing, we use the laser light spot as an aid to complete the measurement of depth information.
