Summary: | 碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 化工與材料工程系 === 106 === In the experiment, changing different composition and proportion of hydrophilic chain extender on anionic polyurethane, could know whether antibacterial activity of the dressings were affected by hydrophilic or not. Moreover coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) is a normal flora in human’s bodies. Due to the increasing rate of nosocomial infections which caused by CoNS and the appearance of multiple drug-resistant strains, the research of CoNS will be a significant point in recent years. The CoNS isolates used in the experiment were from Fengyuan hospital and Tzu Chi hospital in Taichung, and were identified by molecular analysis and Vitek 2 analysis. In addition, we analyze the prevalence of CoNS and antibiotic susceptibility in Central Taiwan, On antibacterial test of the water-based polyurethane, we chose Staphylococus epidermidis and Staphylococus capitis because of their higher prevalence and multi-drug resistance. According to the contact angle analysis, it was found that the polyurethane (SPU) with a higher ratio of sulfonic acid chain extender was more hydrophilic than the CPU (with no sulfonic acid chain extender added). For S. capitis, the antibacterial rate of SPU was 41.97 %, which was higher than the 22.30 % inhibition rate of CPU. The SPU film was treated by surface UV graft polymerization, in which the best water contact angle drop rate from AA-10 wt% decreased from 69.30 to 47.88, and the biofilm produced by S. epidermidis had an inhibition rate of about 67%. It is superior to the SPU film treated with EGDMA-10 wt% grafting.
